What we collect

When you use TripRateFinder we may collect: the searches you make (destination, dates, guests); technical data such as IP address, browser type, device and approximate location; and analytics and advertising data through cookies and similar technologies.

How we use it

To run the search service, hand you off to partner sites with your search pre-filled, measure and improve the site, and show and measure advertising for our service on platforms such as Meta and Google.

Cookies and tracking

We use Google Tag Manager, Google Analytics and the Meta Pixel. These set cookies and may share limited data (such as pages viewed and searches made) with Google and Meta so we can measure our advertising. You can control cookies through your browser settings, and opt out of interest-based ads via Meta ad preferences and Google ad settings.

Partner sites

When you click through to a partner (for example KAYAK, Expedia, Booking.com, Hotels.com or Trip.com), that partner’s privacy policy applies to anything you do on their site. We pass them your search parameters and a referral identifier; we do not pass personal details.

Data retention and rights

We keep analytics data for up to 26 months. Depending on where you live you may have rights to access, correct or delete personal data, or to object to processing. Email hello@tripratefinder.com to exercise them.

Children

The site is not directed at children under 16 and we do not knowingly collect their data.

We will post any changes to this policy on this page with an updated date.
